Finding shoes that fit is an important part of folk tales (like Cinderella and its Vietnamese sister, Tấm Cám), and definitely, an important part of a teenager’s life. Required to wear uniform for most school activities, many Vietnamese teens opt for sneakers as their shoes of choice, because flexibility to match with different outfit, their comfort and last but not least, their styles. Saigoneer has written an article about the millenial sneakerheads, and here is our illustration for the writing, comparing the iconic image of “cô Tấm fitting shoes” to a teen girl eagerly trying on a new pair of Converse.
