In 2019, when Saigon faced the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, a lockdown was implemented to curb the spread of the virus. This situation created a unique dynamic for couples; they found themselves in an unconventional scenario – labeled as “long-distance” couples, not due to geographical separation but due to the enforcement of lockdown measures.
Saigoneer featured an article that shared the narratives of three such couples, shedding light on their experiences during this period. Illustrations for the article were crafted by our talented artist, Hannah Hoàng, along with the collaborative efforts of her team, Patty Yang, and Phương Phan, who contributed to visually enhancing the storytelling.
